LASOFF FILMS

In 2011, my life changed radically as I made a dive into becoming a filmmaker. After being a professional painter all my life, the passion to paint had began to slowly dim. Meant first as a divergence, I started shooting and editing film clips to original pieces of music.  Slowly the need to improve got me more deeply involved, buying better equipment, studying film literature and delving into other genres such as mini-documenteries.

Among the truly great aquisitions in my new life as a filmmaker were the Panasonic Lumix GH4 camera and a Black Magic Cinematic Camera. I use Final Cut Pro X for editing and DaVinci Resolve for color grading. The music I compose using amidi-keyboarrd andLogic Pro X.

Encouraged by friends and family, in 2012 I decided to make a further jump in film-land, by writing my own scripts with a narrative baseline and directing professional actors. My visual background as an artist has given me an advantage in lifting my new career off. The whole process is a more or less one-man show. I write the script, direct and film the actors, edit the film, compose the music scores and take care of all the production details.

Whether this venture will be lucrative or not, does not interest me. I only wish to make good films that catch the imagination of the public.
